Very easy to make combi links. I use it instead of using tubing at the hook end or if I want to have a soft hair and stiff rig.

Getting rid of the swivel will increase the amount of line twist you get.

Yes you can, but to be honest with you I wouldn't reckomend using a pop-up when using a PVA bag. If you do fish it just off the eye on the hook.

Is this the one that like a helicopter rig, except you use an inline lead, and have a clip or hooped piece of metal running through the lead to clip the bag on to?

By playing fish lightly, I imagine that the fight last longer? IMHO this increases mouth damage and the chance of a braided hook length slicing their mouth. I have seen braid slice a carps mouth quite badly, the slice was right in the scissors, the braid in question was Drennan micro braid. This is one of the reasons I stepped away from braided hook lengths and onto Magic touch mono, although this doesn't suit every situation.

They will never snap, and unlike other hooks, you can use them over and over and over and over again. Great hooks.

Could be to do with the way the fish picked up the bait, giving you a poor hook hold. Nash Fang X and ESP super specalist are all i use.

It might not be the tubing but the rest of the rig, are you using braid or mono? What hook etc...

Would i be right in saying fluro carbon's line IQ arent very abrasion resistant, this would be a good reason for not using it too thin, in light breaking strains.

Rob who "invented" this rig is already a name in carp fishing. He has used this work on all kinds of venue's from Swan valley to Sutton. No its not the next hair rig, but its another trick up your sleve. Presenting maggots can be a pain, the korda rings are one way, tieing them on dentail floss is another, as is the cork ball set up. The mag aliner is just another way that is easy to set up and works very well.

Coops is that the stuff you showed me at the social? Pukka stuff, i did get hold of some but havent seen it around for a while. Using the kyston heavy metal, make sure you warm it up/melt it before you put it on and then dunk it to let it set.
