  1. You get used to it, very quickly. Since Baitrunners came into major fishing around the early 90's I have been on and off with them, Baitrunners, Baitrunners, Big Pits, using front drag with no free spool, Baitrunners again, then the Beastmasters. You learn the method on the reel you use.

  6. Hi pal erics willows is no longer syndicate its now day ticket. There is a one off registration fee then pay as you fish. Its £30 per 24 hours over the weekend and £25 through the week. Gaz

  7. Reels I can honestly recommend Shimano Beastmaster 7000's. A lot of other reels for various brands are all made in one factory and I don't think QC is as good as Shimano and Daiwa.

  8. Two birds with one stone? Take a look at the Shimano Big Baitrunner Longcasts. Perfect linelay, fast retrieve ratio, full baitrunner facility, backwind facility and will cast to the next county if you have the technique. Mine represent the best money I've invested into my fishing in years. Ian
