stoogi
I've just done a search for Rookery Meadow & there's very little info. Hopefully some of our newer members may be able to help you.
carpin
Rats Rats and more rats if you like rats this is the place for you,Ok were all used to seeing the odd rat run passed our bivvy but this place was uncomfortable with them. The plastic on the spod reel handles eaten off to the metal no plastic left at all.bait buckets eaten through and every bit of bait gone, bags of carp nuggets eaten all in one go,rats running all over the bivvy fighting.Bait needs to be in armour plated containers there i made sure i didn't drop a crumb all week other wise the army moved in. I fished there a couple of years ago now weather or not anything has been done about the rats now i dont know but dont believe everything you are told ,we were told there wasn't a problem with them after hearing some stories Ok its a shame about this because its a nice lake, found the fishing slow but managed a 27lber the best out of three, but there are definitely some lumps in there to go at,but i wont be returning, once bitten twice shy. I'm sure there are folk out there who sit on Google and wait for threads to come up on some waters - then register and post this sort of thing. I'd like to see the Mods insist that when you slate a water, you give a comprehensive overview of your carp angling competence - to prevent half-competent anglers being tempted to avoid venues based on feedback by numpties.
