spread
Hiya mate, i fished it many moons ago about 12 years. It was one of the prettiest places ive been to, really nice swims. This was on the main lake but there is 4 in total though i think. I do remember it being very expensive so take quite abit of dosh. I wasn't carp fishing then so was just on a waggler but had some very nice tench out of there up to 8lb and bream up to 10lb but there was bigger in there. Sweetcorn was the bait then Cant really say much more but let me know how you get on i wouldnt mind taking a trip there again. Good luck mate. kameleonuk
If your after runs then fish Bonds lake as supposed to the Old Lake (main lake). Small hook baits work really well and it holds upper doubles too; i seem to recall pepperami with the outer skin removed being particulary good. As mentioned the place is quite expensive so try to avoid buying tackle / bait there and take your own food too
elephantstone22
Hi Bazcarper, How did you get on? I'm off there this Friday and going to fish the Old Lake, so any tips would be great. Cheers
bazcarper
my mate and i fished the old lake with pellets and sweetcorn,we totally blanked with the sweetcorn did quite well with the pellets as hook bait, used marine halibut also with swimstim groundbait from the cage feeder. between us we caught 13 bream and 2 carp..no monsters but decent sizes. great place and wildlife keep an eye on the ducks and geese on the banks, they will try to nick ur bait when ur not looking
elephantstone22
Great will give the pellets a go and the corn a miss then. Really looking forward to it. Thanks for the advice.
