courtz
do you use a leader such as rig tubing or leadcore courtz
courtz
leaders help prevent the hooklink catching on the main line, alternatively less supple monos such as flourocarbon will stand less chance of tangling.
whitefinger
yes mate leadcore, its maxamia(sorry im *************** at spelling) mono and it has lots of mermory. maybe its just crap line, maybe im just crap!
courtz
it could be that the hooklengths are too long or the leader is too short. some baits can cause the line to twist on the retreive, but im no expert tight lines courtz
salokcinnodrog
You can cut down Tangles on Mono Hooklengths by using PVA presentations, either a Stringer or a Bag. Some rigs tangle on the retrieve as you pick up the Lead, yet in the water they are Untangled, so it appears you may have had a Tangle, yet you didn't. Because the Lead is in the middle of the coil as you pick up to retrieve, the Hooklength tangles around the Lead. :D
