salokcinnodrog Posted May 5, 2009 Report Posted May 5, 2009 Tungsten putty- its the muts nuts what round the shank of thehook YES Or I know that there is a pic here, just be using the Knotless knot pic it can be adapted for counterbalancing. Plus also some of my rigs get very finely counterbalanced (or overweighted) Quote

zander1 Posted May 6, 2009 Report Posted May 6, 2009 Yes Or bellow the bait on the hair, or just on a straight forward pop up rig so that the hook is still suspended with the bait, but its only just held down on the deck by the tungsten putty (rather than a shot). Quote
southend30 Posted May 26, 2009 Report Posted May 26, 2009 i bore out a little hole in bottom of pop-up, then put blob of tungston putty on hair, slide pop-up down, put on hair/boilie stop, then push putty inside cavity in boilie, neat and critically balanced easily. Quote
tonybranno Posted May 27, 2009 Report Posted May 27, 2009 And thats coming from someone who thought i was not giving out sensible advice by recommending using pop ups as bottom baits. But then again, what do i know eh? Quote
southend30 Posted May 28, 2009 Report Posted May 28, 2009 Its called a critically balanced pop-up NOT a bottom bait OK thought i would run it by you if ok Quote
