stoogi
If like me, you have sausage fingers, you can forget it I find it easier to put the bait on first when tieing the rig Welcome to the forum
Guest hairymary123
If like me, you have sausage fingers, you can forget it I find it easier to put the bait on first when tieing the rig Welcome to the forum I favour this method also. Not because I have sausage fingers (mine are perfect). But because you can get the boilie precisely where you want it in relationship to the shank of the hook. salokcinnodrog
I'm lazy and I tend to have ready tied rigs (not shop bought) in a rig bin or wallet, but complete with Hairs attached. Since I tend to fish the same waters for a season or so I know how long I need the hair to be, and check the length of the hair with bait on when I tie them anyway. If I do need to change the hair length, then I use a length of 4lb Maxima as the hair (also the method I use for tying on pop-ups to a ring as well). I find it easier to shorten a hair by tying an overhand loop than extending the hair. You could tie a hook on with a knotless knot, but leave the hair loop untied so all you need to do is tie the loop in when you fish. That should give you the possibility to change the hair length Seymo made a little loop tyer. It was a round central piece about the size of a 5p piece with at either side 2 prongs that you used to form the loop. Google "Seymo loop tyer" and you will see what I mean

zander1
How about just a latched baiting needle works for me I like the korda heavy duty one, comes in handy for alsorts of riggy bits aswell as harder baits
