mono and braid

After some research and thought into mainlines i am still undecided on which to re spool with.

 

I have narrowed it down to these three lines :

Berkley big game

Sufix Synergy

gt80

 

I would appreciate some feedback and advise regarding these lines please

 

To save making another thread i will post another question in this thread.

Could someone reccomend a decent non coated braid and a way in which to fish with it so that it doesnt tangle?

berkly big game brown, its brillaint stuff ive had numerous carp out on this including a 54lb mirror from lac serriere in limoge, france.

Regarding the braid question I've been using Drennan Carp Dacron for a couple seasons now and it's been fantastic. It's also cheap as chips. To help with tangling I use ESP rig sleeves and I don't seem to have many problems.

First question would be why do you need to use a braid hooklink?

Nige, the lake i am planning on fishy is very silty and i feel by using a supple braid it will offer me a better presentation than my usual stiff combi rigs

Have a look at the Kryston range. There are a lot of good braids out there and it will do no harm in having a selection in your possession

 

There are plenty of anti-tangle solutions posted on the forum

For the line recommendations have a look through the "Which is best" in Tackle and Equipment as for the Braid you know my answers

At the moment suffix synergy is probably the best in my opinion.
