WARNING New Driving Law In France

As from the 1st July it is compulsory to carry a fluorescent jacket and a triangle in your vehicle in France. A jacket for every passenger.

Fines are:-

90 euros PER ITEM, so four up and no triangle is 450 euros

 

Jackets can be sleeveless

In Germany if you are using the autobahn you have to have a triangle, hivis jacket, 5 litres of fuel, a first aid kit, 20 euros (to pay on the spot fines) and if you wear glasses you need a spare pair. Its about time the French caught up.

They should bring the same policy in over here.

 

The amount of RTC's my wife (a paramedic) goes to where people have been hit after breaking down, begs belief.
