pellethead Posted February 5, 2008 Report Posted February 5, 2008 let me know how you get on mate please, its a venue ive been looking at and would be gretful to hear an opinion of someone who has actually fished the place Quote
scottyozz Posted March 3, 2008 Report Posted March 3, 2008 quality lake mate, bait boat is a must but i think they only let you use them if you hire the whole lake, very clear water with a chalkie bottom so light coloured gear was working better, swim one was about the best swim and closest to the lodge, the bloke is always putting in new fish and the baliff was pretty helpfull even took us to the shops, pineapple popups and tigernuts was by far the best hookbait thi was in may, good luck Quote
euro Posted March 16, 2008 Report Posted March 16, 2008 nice lake, we fished it a couple of years ago we booked the whole lake, at that time broke my pb twice the 1st being a 37lb and then a 44lb mirror. the lads who where on the week before us said all they caught on was maize with a plastic pop-up on top, nothing on boilies, and it was the same for me, kept 1 rod on boilies and got nothing and the other 2 on the maize which i got most of my fish on, the 44 was caught on a 25mm halibut pellet, the fishing wasn't prolific but there was a cold wind blowing for a few days and the baliff said that was probally why, we went early may, let me know if you want to know anymore and ii will send you a pm ps boss bakery 5mins away mmmmmmm Quote
