acepestdetective
Hey all. Have recently started to give snake bite a go as I'm gonna be doing a bit of cat fishing soon so want a coated line to use. The trouble is, with the coating left on the line tends to have a lot of memory when used straight off the spool and ends up looping up in the water as opposed to lying fairly straight on the bed. Anu suggestions?
chris_rowland2005
hi mate if you steam it over a kettle and hold it straight it will remain staright. You can use friction to heat it up slightly and this will achieve the same result but it is a bit harder. Hope this helps mate.

chris_rowland2005
hope that helped mate. if you are going to target cats more often it may be worth getting some catlink cevlar 50lb. it works a treat and is made for the job. it all depends on the size of cats you are after. 666carpcatcher
If you want to straighten it out without taking a kettle fishing with you use the friction one like chris_rowland2005 said the best way to do it is to (before you cut it off the spool) make it tight and run it back and forth across your knee
louis84
get a baiting needle at each end and pull it nice and straight. if you hold it for around 30 seconds it usually stays straight. but by the time its been pinned in your rig wallet for 24hrs it stays straight anyway
