skelly23 Posted August 17, 2007 Report Posted August 17, 2007 Has anyone got any basic rigs to share! I just want a rig that i can tie and have confidence that when Mr carp comes round the corner hes going to get it right in the chops rather than seeing my rig and spooking off. Quote
jake5 Posted August 17, 2007 Report Posted August 17, 2007 Basic rigs are bolts rigs and runnings lead rigs, bolt rigs for close to medium fishing and running rigs for distance . Quote

skelly23 Posted August 18, 2007 Author Report Posted August 18, 2007 Maybe this at the top of the page: https://forum.carp.com/carp-forum/viewtopic.php?t=22185 sorry mate i should of said before, i mean like a whole rig incl the lead and stuff. I obviously know the simple sliding lead set up, i am now moving on to leadcore etc. cheers Quote
carphunter99 Posted August 19, 2007 Report Posted August 19, 2007 best way to learn is either ask someone you know or find a decent tackle shop and ask them to show you. leadcore is pukka stuff and i use it all the time but you need to be careful when tying it as i have seen terrible death rigs left in fish that were lucky to still be swimming. jake5 Posted August 20, 2007 Report Posted August 20, 2007 No cause a bolt rig is less effective at say 100yrds cause of the stretch in the line, thats why sometimes you get a run hit into it and nothings there. Quote
