pablo7uk Posted September 5, 2019 Report Posted September 5, 2019 Hello Having a day at Heskin old hall farm this Saturday. Not fished here for years has much changed? Any one know which pond is fishing well at the minute etc? When I used to fish here years ago the pond with the island was full of tiny stockie carp. Thinking of fishing the pond nearest the barn/car park what's the average size in this one these days? Thanks Quote

Pond 2 i fished to the right hand side through entrance and fished the margains...it poured down all day. Pond 3 i fished opposite island with the narrower channel on banded pellet. Did well but that was a good 10yrs ago.. Quote
pablo7uk Posted September 7, 2019 Author Report Posted September 7, 2019 I'm here now, I last fished it about 10 years ago too. I was expecting it to be the same muddy puddle but it's grown in well now and plenty of rushes and trees etc around pond 2. Loads of fish activity but no bites yet. Slightly disappointed at the charge to fish being per rod. Didnt arrive particularly early maybe about 830 and expected it to be busy like old times but me and my dad are the only ones on here so far! Very surprised! Quote

Sounds ok...not bad day weather wise for few fish today... Quote
pablo7uk Posted September 9, 2019 Author Report Posted September 9, 2019 Well there was plenty of fish showing, loads on the surface and feeding in the margins. Just couldn't get one on the hook haha lost a few though so not an entirely fruitless day but really struggled even just float fishing amongst feeding fish in the margins Quote
