Tribal Velocity 3lb tc

Morning all,

 

I'm looking at getting 2 new rods, i'm currently looking at getting a pair of Shimano Tribal Velocity's At a Sale price of £50 each.

Love the look and feel of theses rods but wondered if you guys can recommend anything in a similar price range that's any better? 

I will be matching these up with a pair of Shimano Ultegra XSD's or Shimano 6000 DL RB's

Excellent choice of rods , I have them in 3.25 and was putting a small mesh bag on the hook 94 yards, 

The ones you are looking at will cover most angling situation you will find.

I agree with all of the above. My nephew has three Tribal Velocity's in 3lb test and I have to say that in my opinion they represent excellent value for money. He, I and my son had a week in France early June and the rods performed very well indeed, landing fish well over 30lbs with ease.

Not bad rods at all. A little bit heavier than others I have owned, but not unduly so.

I had 3 (11' versions) which I have now passed on to my daughter and she loves them too.
