benji5857 Posted August 3, 2012 Report Posted August 3, 2012 I've had a look around and it seems that the palomar knot is a popular choice for fluorocarbon. If I use this knot to attach my hook how do you attach a ring for the bait or in my case a bore ring to the hook? Also what are peoples favourite loop knot for flouro as well? Quote
blanksalot Posted August 3, 2012 Report Posted August 3, 2012 Not sure it would work for a 'D' rig as you've already doubled up the line to tie the knot so having room for a third through the eye seems unlikely and it'll sit wrong with the knot below the shank. Have a look at the snell knot, does'nt use the eye like a knotless and it'll put the 'D' where you need it http://www.gofishing.co.uk/Angling-Times/Section/Videos/All-Coarse-Videos/Videos-Search-Results/Techniques/How-to-tie-the-Snell-hook-knot/ Quote
chillfactor Posted August 3, 2012 Report Posted August 3, 2012 You could use two rubber hook stops with your bore ring between them held in place Quote
blanksalot Posted August 3, 2012 Report Posted August 3, 2012 perfection loop knot http://videofishingknots.com/perfection-loop.html does'nt sit on one side like the figure eight, much neater. Quote

It'll leave you a hair/tag that will go down the eye for the D, tie one, you'll see how easy it is Quote
