meekster Posted January 8, 2012 Report Posted January 8, 2012 In search of breaking the 30 barrier my bro and I are visiting the monument next month for the first time. Fishing swims 8 and 9. Hoping to get off the 28 and 29 PBS we have been stuck on for a couple of years. Does anyone have any useful tips for these swims. Have seen the video on eh fisheries just wondered if there was anything else out there. Many thanks Meekster Quote
jemsue5 Posted January 8, 2012 Report Posted January 8, 2012 Swim 8, its worth putting one down to the left off the reeds close in. Deepest part of the lake and they sometimes hold up there. Quote
meekster Posted January 9, 2012 Author Report Posted January 9, 2012 Cheers for the tip on swim 8. Any idea on how weedy? I understand it's a clay bottom. Quote
meekster Posted January 11, 2012 Author Report Posted January 11, 2012 excellent any idea on swim 9? Quote
jemsue5 Posted January 11, 2012 Report Posted January 11, 2012 As far out as you can without interfering with swims 7 and 11 Quote
meekster Posted January 12, 2012 Author Report Posted January 12, 2012 Any other hints greatly appreciated. Planning on fishing with stick mixes filled with pellet, boilies and a few maggots to spice it up a bit. Quote
