crazedcarper
I know the baliffs that are up there right now and they said that the bigger carp that survived the kill down there were checked by EA then moved across to the sixfields lake, aparently there was a largish carp caught there not so long back and that was again sacked untill EA arrived and took it away for a health check. Seems the only fish that survived where a handfull of bits and bobs, in my opinion id get over to the sixfields lake, ive heard that 2 different 27lb (Mirror and Common) came out to the baliff there on zigs last week. Hope that helps.

crazedcarper
Yea its castle angling, cheap as chips there book is. the day/night ticket on the lake is cheap too. Sixfields lake is its proper name lol,, everyone calls it the res though so yea its the resovoir, a guy did 4-5 weeks straight just recently i think his name was paul hanger or summin, it made me laugh because i thought what a cool name for an angler lol (as in Pull Hanger) thought id better point that out so coops got it !! but anyway yea he blanked! so it is hard going but if you check the catch report for this month you will see 2 of its stunning residents all be it the photos are rubbish! 35 acres,, yep,, its big but just watch for the fish and follow them and you will eventually catch, being static on that lake will do you no favours. Theres some cracking fish in there and i bet half of them have never been caught.
ian257
I have always known it as Duston reservoir, had some good pike out of there years back before castle angling took it over. Ian.
