pearbo Posted February 16, 2011 Report Posted February 16, 2011 Just wondered if anyone has used the new gardener carp hooks with the dull finish. Are they any good? Quote
mike_t Posted February 17, 2011 Report Posted February 17, 2011 Use them all the time mate mostly muggas they don't shine up or anything like that also the dull coating is very durable I have neva had it rub off and go shiny Quote
jimbo1807 Posted February 17, 2011 Report Posted February 17, 2011 Used them for last few months!! seem to be very durable I do prefer the dull finish and I have been catching a few more since i started using them, don't know if this is a coincidense or not!! Quote
pippa1972 Posted February 17, 2011 Report Posted February 17, 2011 i use the mugga and talen tips in the covert finsh and there a great hook . o by the way its GARDNER NOT GARDENER Quote
pearbo Posted February 19, 2011 Author Report Posted February 19, 2011 yeah i realised my spelling. Have ordered a pack of the Talon Tip wide gapes. I like the idea of the beaked point and a slightly inturned eye. And of course the dull finish can't hurt Quote
carpman2904 Posted March 11, 2011 Report Posted March 11, 2011 i use them all the times... great hooks strong.... never had one bend yet Quote
Guest Anonymous Posted March 11, 2011 Report Posted March 11, 2011 I use mugga's and at last have found the perfect chod hook, theirs. In fact, Gardner have never made any rubbish, from the pod to the rig bin to the hooks. Quote
pearbo Posted March 13, 2011 Author Report Posted March 13, 2011 I ended up getting some on the Talon Tip covert hooks. They look the business and i had 7 out of my club lake all at range with no loses. So on the one hand they can only get worse but so far 100% result. Quote
