anddos Posted December 28, 2010 Report Posted December 28, 2010 I think if the holiday park opened up the lake to fishing then it would attract new customers and generate alot of money , here's a pic of the lake http://www.pb-pics.co.uk/Images/LANDSCAPES%20and%20SEASCAPES/Marton%20Mere-Blackpool-0408.jpg I know its ment to be for nature only but it looks like a beast of a lake to fish, does anyone have any stories of maybe poaching it or something Quote

zammmo Posted December 28, 2010 Report Posted December 28, 2010 With that amount of birds, you would need to night fish it... Have you seen fish in it? Why don't you suggest to the owners opening it up for fishing. This time next year you could be a millionare... Quote
anddos Posted December 28, 2010 Author Report Posted December 28, 2010 I believe its already been suggested to them and they refused because its for wild life only, there could be record size fish in there. Quote

carpmantaylor Posted January 1, 2011 Report Posted January 1, 2011 i know a lad that tried to fish it he got there just as it was going dark had set up his stuff and within half an hour security from marton mere and 2 park rangers from stanley park were there to escort him off. i think he was just unlucky and someone must have seen him and said something. is it really worth the risk. Ryan0151 Posted March 22, 2023 Report Posted March 22, 2023 There are cameras surrounding the lake and there isn’t many or any ways to get close to the water , it’s practically swamp all the way around for the first 20/30 meters at least Quote
