Reading through the article , i like what i see, similar to how i have been fishing, but i have been using swimfeeder on running rig and magclips

 

I ask the following questions please

 

1) Only two maggots on a size 10 would that not look out of place and also attract smaller fish? How about a size 12?

2) I have seen the draw string pva bags which would be easy to tie to the rig , does any one have preference on PVA

 

Going to go on wednesday , brave the cold get out of the office and catch some fish

I would not drop past the size 10 hook. I use the mag-aligner with 1 rubber grub on the bend and 2 fresh maggots. As far as PVA is concerned the micromesh versions in 4 season are best (I use the Korda large stocking) and fill with a mix of live and dead maggots.

i fished it at the weekend but used a size 8 with 2 fake maggots and about 4-5 live ones.

 

i use PVA mesh to make up little parcels but clipped it onto the hook not the lead.
