plowmanccfc Posted August 18, 2010 Report Share Posted August 18, 2010 Went there on the social this year, And if i went back i would go to the same swim or as near as didn't have any but the fish were there,Just bad angling on my part i think. Swims that did well the island, Pipes and carpark swim. Rig and bait wise, Use white maggots on a maggot clip micro mesh stick filled with maggot on a 5inch, Simple size 8 hook rig? Size 10 hooks, 10mm boilies, maggots etc. Nothing too complicated although i am not fan of fishing maggots on maggot clips. Make a D rig out of your hooklink material, i prefer IQ soft for this, and put the maggots onto a piece of dental floss via sewing needle,try not to burst them. Tie a grinner knot and slide it down to the maggots and tie the dental floss to the ring of your rig. A bit of tubing over the eye helps it to flip.
