Went there on the social this year, And if i went back i would go to the same swim or as near as didn't have any but the fish were there,Just bad angling on my part i think.

Swims that did well the island, Pipes and carpark swim.

Rig and bait wise, Use white maggots on a maggot clip micro mesh stick filled with maggot on a 5inch, Simple size 8 hook rig?

Didnt like the state of the swims but i WILL be back.

hope that helps

Scaling down is the way to go. Size 10 hooks, 10mm boilies, maggots etc. Nothing too complicated although i am not fan of fishing maggots on maggot clips. Make a D rig out of your hooklink material, i prefer IQ soft for this, and put the maggots onto a piece of dental floss via sewing needle, try not to burst them. Tie a grinner knot and slide it down to the maggots and tie the dental floss to the ring of your rig. A bit of tubing over the eye helps it to flip. Spod maggots and 10mm boilies over the top, don't go mad though little and often seems to work there.

Cheers

We had it last weekend, fished well, five thirtys, eight twentys and four doubles. Three new pbs too. Biggest fish out 36.4 common. Most fish out to boiliess.
