I notice there is a separate thread about attaching leadcore to the mainline but I'm not sure if the Korda safe zone leader is the same. vinyljunkie Posted May 25, 2010 Report Share Posted May 25, 2010 yes you can tie you safe zone leader to your mainline in the same way as you would a leadcore leader, although capable of doing the same job a safezone leader will not take up the contours of the lake bed like leadcore does. moorsey Posted July 1, 2010 Report Share Posted July 1, 2010 Sorry to jump in here late but none of the leaders [leadcore nor safe zone] follow the lake bed as the sales blurb suggests. They are simply not heavy enough and are too stiff. The other misleading thing is the name. "Safezone" is named as it was suggested that it makes an area close to the bait which appears safe to the fish. It doesn't mean that it protects the fish by making the rig safe.
