    No non at all. That's why I lock the knot I place to stop it opening and closing during the fight. If your still worried just add some silicon tubing so it forms a kicker.

    12lb mono hook link is my fall back rig. Fished straight though with double bottom baits. Just whip back up the knotless knot a couple of times to lock it in place.

    The knot beds down pretty small so can't see an issue.

    Compared to leadcore or a safe zone leader its quite light.

    hiya lads what knot do you use to connect flourocarbon to mono? The flouro im going to use is 20lb to a 12lb mainline. Would the back to back grinner be ok?

    kryston merlin for me, with the merlin i use it with solid pva bags, bottom bait rigs and for pop-up rigs. i just like the extra movment with braid. it lies over every bottom because its so supple. ive use it for years and had my pb on it. ive never changed to the newer braids on the market because i find them stiff compered to merlin.

    In my opinion its worth the extra effort. Has my catch rate improved? defently. i know this is a bold statment but id say mine has doubled just though sharpening my hooks.

    fox kuro hooks are pretty sharp out the packet,but i still run the file down them to make them'' hell thats sharp'' sharp. Just get into the habbit of doing it before you castout doesnt take 30 seconds. hope this helps.

    flying back lead tie it 2 foot up your mainline with some pva tape. its what i do if fish with my mainline stright though to my lead with a semi slack line works for me.
