Hey everyone, me and my dad are planning a week away fishing somewhere, looking for somewhere no more than maybe 2 hours drive away from stoke. would like somewhere with accommodation onsite. Ideally somewhere with a chance to grab a fiew 20s maybe more! and suggestions would be appreciated, thanks. Dan

Interesting topic nick. I think allot of people are brainwashed into thinking " bigger fish, complex rigs " I like to keep things as simple as I can. Only change things when I need to, subtle adjustments. But if you are having no problems then there is no need to complicate things Dan.

Booked again with the family for July, really enjoye it last year and cannot wait to go again, had a cracking time fishing polowyn with plenty of fish upto around 15lb. This time as we are going for 2 weeks I will have more time to give pats pool a shot, I only had time to do a couple of day sessions and managed 1 run which unfortunately shot to the surface and come free, the only plus point was that I hadn't left the fish trailing my rig as I got everything back. I was wondering of there was anyone on here that has experience fishing this lake and would kindly drop me a pm? also I would like a shot at catching my first catfish but have no idea where to start so any tips would be much appreciated! thanks in advance.Dan.

fished it today mate, middle pool, wasn't sure what to use, had 2 carp, lossed one and missed a run, fished super orange boilies on a simple running rig.

Me and my dad are doing a little Carp session down Baden hall on Thursday, just after a fiew Carp. has anyone been recently as there was a problem with crayfish, if so how did you get on, thanks

Hey everyone, just a quick question on pva bag rigs, within reason is there a limit to how short a rig you can use with these? due distance I will be using small pva bags filled with crushed boilies and an 18mm botombait, I was thinking of a 2 inch hooklink, what would be your views on this, thanks

hello everyone recently arrived at White acres, had a look round, rods set up, bait and rigs ready, all set iv decided to fish pats pool which is the main specimen lake there, car to 30+ and cats to 59. I was just wondering if anyone has fished here before and has any methods, bait or rig info that will help me do One over on my dad cheers
