  1. Try Carpe Dor, do not know prices, Andy is located near Vitry le Francois
  2. I would wait until you decide on a venue, there are lots available and you can pick one that suits your tackle and methods! Or you can get big rods and reels so that you are always able to fish how you want, the main thing to consider yes there are some big carp in France however they are eclipsed by the ammount of smaller ones so do not get your hopes up as you have to fish hard to catch the better sized carp
  3. I have fished many waters that have not seen much angling pressure, Boilies did not work for me until they had been introduced a but! What I find did work was bait up with a mixture of big(ish) particles, which included maize, chick peas, maples all bulked out with hemp, wheat and barley, using the big particles as hook baits, I have found that they quickly recognise the bait as a food source, good luck in your endevour
  4. You will need to do a bit of homework, check the ferries as a car is normally cheaper but adding a trailer will knock up the price by a fair bit. You could consider a minibus and trailer a bit more comfort and the power to haul a big trailer with 8 persons kit, try and source your bait at or close to the venue to save space and weight in the trailer. Unless you have a bait contact it should be cheaper at your chosen venue, if you are fishing a community or public venue particle and pellets can be bought from local sources
  5. I have fished often in August, true the fishing can be slower during the day but normally fishes OK at night. The weather can be a little uncomfortable but a simple brolly can help dramatically, ensure you keep the fluids going in and do not drink too much alchohol
