    Im in the same boat - its bad up here for fishing! Try: Lakeside fishery - Ranskill Not the best pegs mid, infact some of the worst ive ever seen! lol try getting you bivvy pegs into hardcore! Hardwick Hall Lakes

    yea if youve got the time for that sort of fishing, I only get to go around 4x/year now which sucks but nevermind, kids eh!

    I think it must be more of the case of right place right time! or a very regular baiting campaign if you were to target those 40's

    Drayton - if you want to catch alot of fish around the 14lb mark all day, a fish a chuck then id go. However - they are all in bad nick - mouths damaged etc and the spacing is VERY tight if you go at the weekend. I remember i had a run that decided to run to the right of me for 50yds and it crossed 5 anglers lines! I did manage to land it in the end and it was the best fish ive had out of there @ 19.5lb

    Im not suprised that lake holds some monsters, its a monsterous sized lake! nearly 2 miles long! (just measured it on google) lol chances of bagging one there on a day ticket are slim!

    Whislt browsing on the maps at other lakes as you do! lol i came across these very new looking lakes, look of interesting size and shape, like the islands etc, does anybody know what they are?? [/img]

    if u want 30's go to cromwell, personally ive never been but i shall be going end of this month! i really want to catch a decent size fish!

    chod with a popup? brightly coloured? Im debating weather or not to use cell on the lake either the fish see it as a food source or its been completely over thrown in??
