Quick question do they open the gates at 6.30am still? And what's it like in the week I.e is it easier to get parked etc as considering taking my dad up on a fri so as he can catch his first carp above 3lb

It's in ayno near Banbury so Oxfordshire/Northamptonshire Debating whether to go here or somewhere else just want to go somewhere fairly local to Aylesbury that's not to difficult as will only be going for around 8hrs max

sorry to sound dumb but wheres peg 90? ive always tried to get close to the boat house bit as been told thats one of the better areas? (only been twice though) Also is there any other parking other than the little bit by the dam wall?

if we do go itll be early and stay all day as dnt wanna risk getting up there later on and not being able to park as done that once before drove for 2 hours to get there then couldnt park lol

not good then dunno whether to bother on sat now as taking my dad along for the first time as he's never caught a carp bigger than around £4 so thought where better to catch than Drayton but dnt wanna put him off by blanking. Descisions Descisions lol

Anyone been lately? if so what does it fish like this time of year? considering going up there in a few weeks but have heard mixed storys really

fished here sunday and was a good day allthough only caught 3 carp and a jack pike myself but others were catching alot more, bit disappointed with the venue as went with my disabled brother so most spots were no good, also can see what everyone means about the poor condition of the fish's mouths etc + also a shame that at least half the people we came across were doing nothing but adding to that damage

oh good to hear its still fishing well hopefully head over there sunday afternoon with my little brother see if we can get a few and his first carp (over 4lb)

Is drayton still as good and easy nowadays ive not been in years and looking to get on a easyish venue to gain some confidence back after drawing a blank on my last 5 outings at local venues lol, so basically is it still worth the 2 hour trip it takes to get there many thanks
