I have fished both Marsworth and Startops a lot in the past. The carp in Marsworth are gradually piling on the weight. I have had them out to 22lb but bigger ones are in there with a 29lb er being the biggest I have personally heard of. (A 27 1/4 common was caught in Dec 09 on sweeetcorn) Large boilies are a good bait there as you need to get through the shoals of 3 - 6lb bream. I have heard of other good fish falling to sweetcorn but beware the slimeys! Startops is a different matter. There are only a few carp relative to the size of the place but a friend of mine did have a 38lb one out a couple of years ago whilst fishing a sweetcorn stack for the double figure bream. The biggest problem (in summer ) is locating the (very few) weed free areas. Hope this helps and good luck! John
