[Carping over Christmas]

Busy Christmas for me mate!

 

Hope to be fishing several impoundments down the NSW coast and ACT. From the old section I garnered info on these places I hope to hit:

 

Chaffey Dam

Lake Keepit

Lake Liddell

Cattai R

Wyangala

Parra

Manly

Lane Cove

LBG

Ginni

Tuggeranong

 

...phew!!!

 

Prob not all but most hopefully, got 4 weeks to get as much fishing in as possible!

 

2 weeks till I go...stoked as!

G'day Mate,

fish it abit when I can't be bothered trekking down to Brooklands(no car). Still fishes alright, mainly stockies to 10lb+. i've caught on the boilie approach with scopex squid and on popped up maize over spodded pigeon conditioner and hemp (15 fish up to 9lb in a day) Depends on Boat traffic and birds, gotta fish 30yds out at least so they don't nail your bait! Pretty much constant depth all over up to maybe 3-4ft max? Originals still there...lost one couple of weeks back...bloody swans prevented a proper strike...saw the shoulders belt off into the blue yonder def 30lb+!!! [censored]!

Thanks for the info mate. As you alluded to the commercials thing is not my cup of tea. And to be honest I haven't found much else, I know of 'fishing in Holland' website which also do guided trips. Takes a bit to navigate through the site but there is some good info. I'm going to hit them up before I head to A'dam late August. I've found just cruising the dutch carp forums is the best bet. I think most of the waters in holland are self serve, ie explore yourself, because there certainly isnt a lack of water thats for sure!

i'm doing the same, trying to find info for fishing oportunities in Holland. Maybe try babel fish its an online translator. karper is the dutch word for carp, vissen for fishing. i've joined karperwereld and translated it but i wasn' t looking for commercials, i'm more of the pioneering type looking for lakes and canals round A'dam for aug bank hols. As far as getting info...seems even more secret squirrel than here in England. And they've got huge amounts of water. Challenge much!
