Ok as shown on another thread I have looked myself and this is what i want to do my surface fishing with but as the hook length is suspended in the air do i need to use a thinner line or can i stick to my ultima 18lb line? Cheers

Thanks alot for that mate, as soon as I seen 'blanked' I laughed out loud literally. Im going in August for a week the 1st week, all booked and paid for! Looking forward to it. thanks mate but got my heart set on that solar unleaded leader now! Looks good but just trying to find some ready spliced/with a loop! Not too good at splicing and wouldnt want it to fail! Cheers anyway!

If you reel in any weed from 20 meters out or wherever you are then hold the weed from end to end to see APPROXIMATLY how long the weed out their is.

Perfect mate, just what i been looking for! Now how do I hold beads on it just enough to stop the chod slipping up the line but enough to come loose if mainline snaps?

cheers lads! Dont really like the idea of tubing though. Is their anything else? Like a fly fishing type leader? Infact do you even need to use a leader? Also If i bought some 30lb fluoro and tied it onto my main line with a loop to loop would that work? But how would I keep the beads securely enough where they dont fall off but will do if required under pressure?

Ok so I have recently STARTED using the chod rig. I used leadcore ( i know some people dont like it)- but now I dont want to use it anymore myself plus the fishery im going to soon doesnt allow it. So Ive had a look around and cant find anything on how you actually do it without leadcore I know you can get a flurocarbon leader? But which would you recommend? And how do the beads fit nicely onto it without slipping of or is it a question of putting the bead over some silicone tubing??

Thanks mate, ive rang up and he was saying pegs 32 and 62 are good if its hot weather? I dont use a spod anyway, not my style, I use pva bags all the time though! It seems pretty strict on rules? also... whats that rule on about where it wais if you catch a carp over 19lb you have to go and get a bailif? Do you have to? Id rather just catch, take a photo and put it back in asap without sacking. Cheers mate

Found this fishery on the net, never came accross it before. Looks pretty good and apparently its been taken over by new owners. I have been on the website but their is not MUCH info on their and the contact email doesnt seem to work for me? Does anyone have one that does work. Also has anyone got any tips for it like which are the best pegs etc? Their will be three of us fishing it in the first week of August and obviously i know the pegs depend on the weather, wind etc but as an overall peg do you know which one will be good to book? Also anything else you might want to tell me about this fishery? Cheers!
