  1. there are loads of carp in these lakes they are numbered lake a lake b and lake c lake a has lots of carp but nothing big up to just about doubles if your lucky lake c again has lots of carp upto mid double these are also the match lakes and do have matchs on every Saturday all year round lake b is the lake with the bigger carp in they do go up to mid 20 can be very weedy but the fish are lovely scaley fish its only £7 for a day ticket which can be bought on the bank you can night fish B lake ONLY can get busy at weekends but fairly quiet midweek not my idea of fishing but the perfect place to get a bend in the rod as the fish are fairly easy to catch!!!!
  2. havn`t fished it for a few years now but from what I have heard it gets very busy the no 1 pit (across the road from the club pit) has done fish to over 40lb but this year they have lost some of the fish after moving a load of fish out of the middle pit into the no 1 still has a fair few 30s though but it gets far to busy for my liking...
  3. yes it is day ticket £11 for 24 hours £7 for the day though i do believe you can only do a max of 48 hours 4 lakes though only 3 have carp in them 1 lake to the left of the carpark which has tench and bream to double figures and 3 lakes to the right lettered B C D.B is the main carp lake with plenty of fish up to just on 30lb DOES GET BUSY ON WEEKENDS but week days are fairly quiet C lake is the pastie lake with shed loads of carp in just up to double`s with most fish 4lb to 8lb D lake has the monster`s in with fish up to and over 40lb but very hard and the locals are not to friendly to new people fishing this lake. have heard 1 or 2 horror storys about new people trying to fit in and fish this lake but some stunning fish in there with a handfull of good 30`s with the lake record 46lb i think???
  4. hi mate pm me for more detail`s i have fished all the lakes at waveney for over 10 years on a regular basis i`ll give you all the info you need
  5. hi mate im a regular at waveney i fish it weekly pegs 1.2 put you on the point at the top of the lake peg 1 fishes to the left to pads and a small bit of margin and peg 2 fishes to the private back to you right under the overhanging trees plus you have a small bit of water out in front all the swims will have a white post to give you your area it does get heavily fished and if you have people in pegs 3 and 4 and they are both using 3 rods you could get cut off plenty of fish do get in the corner and in the pads and i have found that peg 1 and 2 are mainly night time swims its the deepest part of the lake around 6ft with 3 to 4 ft in the margins best advice is to go easy on the bait as you don`t know what the person before you has put out and if you want to know what the main bait going in there then drop me a pm as a certain person has put shed loads of a certain bait in there like he has in all the lakes there
  6. hi i did 2 season`s on there about 5 years ago for just 2 fish the biggest was 21lb though thing`s have changed a lot since i fished it you were only allow 2 rods were you are now allow 4 i only used to fish midweek and i never saw another carp angler i hear it does not get that busy now with most of the regulars fishing the no1 and the bottle pit lots of bream to get through and low numbers of fish but they did put some fish in there from the middle pit and its never going to be a problem with other anglers when you have 90 odd acres in front of you good luck with it!!!
  7. um that`s a bit of a tricky 1 im not to sure i fish B lake a lot i have been told a lot of story`s about the lake but not sure how many are true it doesn`t get fished a lot as most people fish b pit best advice i can give you is to have a good look round it has a big sand bar where i have seen the odd good fish move as the water is very clear i do know that in the olden days when it was owned by the cherrytree angling club it only had a small number of fish in there don`t know what the new owners have done stockwise. hope this go`s a little way to help you
  8. lakeside in saxmundham suffolk has a nice lake with plenty of fish to mid twenty`s
  9. my friend is a member of kingfisher and he reackon`s it is 1 of the best member`s water in norfolk lot`s of 30`s and lot`s of back up 20`s plenty of swim`s with loads of space and a good bunch of people fishing there and they are still taking members!!!
  10. yep i would agree with the above but don`t listern to the story`s of monster`s in there cause they are not true not sure on the numbers of fish but it`s not a lot fish sizes i would say high 20`s to scrapper 30`s the good thing is you can use 4 rod`s on there so you have plenty of option`s i havn`t fished it for a couple of years now there are bigger fish in the no`1 pit but it get`s to busy for my liking
  11. i think it`s £7 for 2 rods but i always use 3 which is £10 you can use groundbait the only thing you can`t use is peanuts and tiger`s
  12. do you mean cider farm near halesworth??? never heard of cedar farm???
  13. the bigger lake with the island is the 1 you want the other lake is for the pole boys it`s full of carp too but they only go up to about 8lb to 10lb
  14. yeah i agree with the above hall farm is a good bet load`s of fish with a few 20`s although the woman who collect`s your money can be a real pain coming round every 30 minutes to see if your caught anything and green`s pit has got some lovely fish in there but is small but a good winter water
  15. not really on c pit there is a nice bar about 40yrds out in front of the first 2 big swims you come to righthand corner and some nice little gravel spots up the righthand margin or if you fish the lefthandside there is another bar about the same distance out that is c shaped this lake is deep with about 12 to 14 ft of water and about 8 ft on top of the bars there is a little bit of scruffy weed in places too but a bait on the gravel will get you plenty of bites good luck let me know how you get on!!!
  16. well on c pit i`ve had all my fish on bright hookbaits bright yellow or pink being very good this fished with a bag of pellet`s over loads of spodded groudbait on the b pit dark is better and not over a lot of bait singles or little stick bags
  17. hi mate i`ve fished broome pit`s alot this season if it`s run`s you want to fish c pit which is the old kidney pit lot`s of fish up to just doubles with some nice tench good chance of gettin 10 to 15 fish a day from there if you want bigger fish then the lake you fished b pit has fish to mid 30`s and there are a lot of fish to go for although this lake does get busy with weekend`s being a bit of a nightmare and i think im right in saying the back lake d pit is the real headbanger of a water with some real monster`s in it but but it is HARD there are no carp in the pit on the left of the carpark this is the lake with the big tench (poss doubles) and big bream
  18. hi mate i would say there are about 60 catfish and around 150 to 180 carp but they are fairly easy to catch i`ve had some mad session`s on there including 8 cat`s in a night 2 cat`s on at the same time 2 carp on at the same time i`ve had a lot of fish on manline`s active 8 and dynamite`s chilli and tuna when are you going? thinking back to my thread yesterday peg 6 is a very poor peg to fish because of the lay out of the lake if you have people in 7 and 8 they tend to cut peg 6 off when you used to be able to fish the whole lake it was alway`s the last 1 to go if you need anymore help let me know in fack i fished peg 8 at the weekend and had 5 carp biggest 22lb and 2 cat`s 34lb and 37.8lb
  19. hi mate im a regular at waveney i fish it every other week peg`s 678 are on thefront bank these are the only day ticket swim`s so you will not be able to move anywhere else on the lake peg 6 is a very shallow swim with only about 2 foot of water with a small island in front of you it`s the worst swim out of the 3 with swim 8 being the better swim you have plenty of gravel spot`s in front of you and in front of peg 7 you have another island abouty 40 yard`s in front o0f you it`s fished it head off this season with catfish average lb 30 and load`s of carp ranging from mid doubles to low 20`s with 1 fish a common that last came out at 37lb plus a couple of other common`s close to 30lb best advice is to go in with a real smelly fishmeal or halibut pellet`s but don`t go to mad on the bait hope this help`s
  20. no it`s not marsh farm or the calton caravan park i`ve been told it`s on the right of the A12 OPP THE TURN OFF TO SAX but can`t seem to get anymore info it may not true but it`s a rumour been going round weybread pit`s
  21. hi guy`s i have been hearing rumuer`s of a new day ticket lake nr saxmundham suffolk with fish up to mid 30`s can anyone tell me anymore it`s not the holiday camp lakes but off the A12
  22. the lake in question has about 200 fish in with most of them koi that goes up to mid twenty`s most are stunning to look at and fight hard i last fished about a year ago it was about £15 for the day i think the best advice is to get a copy of john wilson`s book for norfolk and suffolk and all the detail`s you need are in there hope this help`s
