Hello All, I have been carp fishing a while now and have been to France on a couple of socials. My angling club has alot of small carp and you have to wade through them to get to the bigger ones. So mainly to get a chance of catching a bigger carp I am having to venture further affield from Essex. I have had a couple of good results from Catch 22 with a 22lber and my UK Pb of 27lb. But these are the only two twenties I have caught and I would like to catch more. I have just come back from a blank at Cobbleacre and saw not one fish come out when I was there!! I have just found out about Willow lake I was hopeing to phone up and book myself on. I would be greatful if anyone can share some wisdom with me on the lake to hopefully point me in the right direction to get a few twenties in the net, SATN you said you had advice can you share?? Anyone for that matter....

Hi mate, I live in Chelmsford pal and have fished bentley twice, once a day session no success but it was in winter and again for two nights in november and it was freezing cold. In this trip I bagged an 18lb english Mirror. All the carp stocked are 'simmo's' fish so uk carp garanteed. He limits the numbers to 5 at anyone time which is good and the prices are good as you can use three rods. Bivvying was not a problem he has done alot of work to it and has 8 swims dotted round the lake all with plenty of room. Everyone else blanked when I was there seemed a tough lake. He netted it in november 2008 and at present there are 104 carp to 30lbs in there. He plans to cut that to 60-70 fish and let them grow to a very big size. Lads, Can anyone recommend a lake, anything up to 5 acres in size in Essex, Suffolk or Norfolk that can be booked exclusively. Me along with 5 others are looking to book a lake for 3-4 nights as we are all not going to France this year. We would preferably like a lake stocked with a good head of Carp with a chance of some nice twenties or the odd 30 if we are lucky. Not after a super rock hard venue, just somewhere we can catch some fish and have a social. Any thoughts please let me know with any details. I live in essex so kent could be a possibility also. Ian

Hi mate I live in Broomfield and used to live in Gt Baddow. The Mill Fishery I have heard is mostly 20s in there as its a new syndicate and best to get on there now and the fish should grow quick. Mate do you know much about Culverts Mere syndicate in Boreham by the chelmer? Ian

Hi mate I have heard that fishing near what they call the pipe swim, its where the airator is. Snowman rigs I have heard are supposed to be good. Have a look at the website might see some catch reports on there. Ian
