my 2p........ i have fished pine pool and i found a good spot at the far right bay . ive only had 1 fish out in 3 visits, which apparently is good for pine. as said it is crystal clear and very weedy , but on summer days you can literally see the clear spots of gravel in amongst the weed, hit one of them and your off to a good start. i caught a 16lb very dark backed mirror on my first chuck of my first set up rod , chilly meat on a gravelled spot , on the bottom. since that fish i have not caught another. And it is true or should i say , i have also heard off lots of people that alot of big carp have been stolen from pine pool and are over in the bedworth area ............................................................................. why is there always people who want to spoil the fishing makes me angry

oh fair play to ya mate. i was in tussers last evening and i asked him a couple questions like , and had a walk for a couple hundred yards. I did see a bivvie on tother side in a garden , a rod rest but no one or no arods were there. i think i saw a bit of activity on the far side on one of the bends near a tree but not 100%. Me and my brother are thinking of going down there very soon but not sure where , i dont want to lug my stuff to far down there , u could just keep walking and walking lol .

riddings specimen pool PAHH went there last week , wouldnt have minded blanking... but catching a 5-6 lber just takes the mick. 12 quid to catch a 5 lb fish . i could have fished the crucian pool at 4 o`clock for four quid and caught a lot bigger. jokers. they state on there updated website at fisheries.co.uk that there are no fish stocked under 10lb. well thats rubbish for starters . They charge 12 quid a day but yet they dont do the winter work on the pool . wont be bothering again. ill stick to my favourite lakeside,wolvey. people say its a hard pool but if you know how and where to fish it Edited to remove swearing, please don't do it again. i am a coventrian. born and bred. now live nuneaton way tho. i always have a tinny or two when im on the nightfish mate, its my way of unwinding. obviously not [censored]ed on the bank , but we always take a four pack with us. Goes without saying that wed need to be quiet. Snag im up for it, lets try and arrange something for later in August

you are probably right snag , best not be alone in the dark down there LOL. seriously though it would be better for a couple or three going down for the night . me and my brother and 4 of our mates might be into it . let us know your plans if and when

do any of the fisheries that advertise on fisheries.co.uk actually hold the fish that they claim . i dont think they do. i could dig a hole in a feild and advertise i have big fish , and people will come and fish it. even tho they wont catch a fish , most anglers put it down to something or other , never do we think maybe thre is no fish .

I use it all the time but twice through the eye. Same as. Ian i use 3 knots , this grinner , 1 similar to the grinner but the line goes through the loop you made and of course the knotless . i dont know any others

lol, on our visit when we were refused fishing at brammy, we ended up going to friezland , pfff a horrible place . far to cramped and far too many small carp which are very greedy and take big baits ,lol., really hard to get through them weston pool 1 today was ok, only 1 carp , a lovely dark common of 5lb , and ive never caught so many bream , must of had 100lb of fish between me and my brother, although we were after the carp and only saw 1 , it was still a good days coarse fishing

na mate dont bother , its closed until after easter , we know we turned up there and hed put a sign up , he also said that it was closed since christmas, thought it was strange when we went there on new years eve in -3 , and he didnt come to collect his bluey.. free fish edit : i just read the date of your post , ignore me back to weston lawns , ive fished once before the middle pool and blanked , in fact 2 of us blanked . we are heading off there in the morning to fish pool 1 , as the fisheries website says they have added cats there , but it also says pool 2 holds them to 25lb , and carp to 25lb which i doubt . why would you have a specimen lake and have some of your biggest fish in another pool ??????????? that dont make sense . hope we dont blank tomorrow
