  1. you suddnt judge a water by the first session so you should give it another go and if you blank again then maybe you should try another pool to your ability.
  2. i am currently stuck on ma loacalish pool.i normaly fish at pool hall near wolverhampton.i want to start fishing at a new venue but i dont no many places.soo was wondering if any one knows of a decet venue around wolverhampton or not to far away from there.it has 2 be a short drive as atm i can only do a day session soo please dont recomend me the monument or any of it sister waters .also i already no of sankeys and pattingham park.i wud preffer a water where i can catch in a day and were my rods arnt gonna get robed(hint:dont say essington XD)soo yh any sugestions i wud be happy for so hopefully i can start to fish them in the spring
  3. right then.do you fish this water often or plan to go around the swims when you can and get a rought idea of what the lake bed is like then tye all your rigs in the varietys .so then when you next go to fish you have a rig for every peg in that lake .a good rig to have for all situations is a normal soft braid on a simple knottless not style and a fluracarbon verion thes will cover you for gravel, sand ,light silt and most other bottoms.ps if you have a soft bottom were the lead sinks into the ground make shure you use braid so it lies flat on the bottom.a good rig for corn thoght is a simple fluro knotless knot rig with a little shrink tubing to make a more accresive angle.if you fishing for fish of the sizes you mentioned use low diamiter line and a small hook.my favorits are korda size 10 kurve shank b exelent for your fishing i think
  4. hi i know a place not far out of wolverhampton its airly cheap and sum nice fish in it too.there is a runs and a specimin so your choice can be varied .its called pool hall theres also bait and tackle there tool so u can never run short on hoooks or leads or bait .its also got a few pike and cats there so if you want to do a bit of preditor fishing feel free to.they have a web site just google pool hall tresscot and it should come up P.s dont look at bridgenorth pool hall thats a match fishery
  5. haha i dont think youve got the joke mate
  6. buy the total carp mag ther is a section on the back telling you how to tie the knotless knot and other common knots used in fishing i tought my cousin usin this diagrams so they do work forgget these stuppied rigs you see people using most experts will tell you a simple lead clip set up will work just tie yor rig to a swivel thread on a tail rubber and a lead clip push the lead clip over the swivel attach you lead on the clip slip the tail rubber over BUT DONT GLUE THE TAIL RUBBER ON THIS IS A COMPLETE NO NO!! look at the thred death rig this will show you what not to do.
  7. thanks for the tips looks like i might get a bit annoyed trying them . hopefully i dont get too anoyed and chuck my rod i the water
  8. is there any simpler way then that?

    D-rigs

i am trying to use the D-rig and im unsure on how to tie the popup on it there a specila not or nack to it ?
  10. i sopse so but either way lead clips rule just use a leader then use the backleads there you go fourm solved any way why not use leadcore or tubing it keeps the lake bed safe if you dont whant to change to that idea, just use clip . problem solved i say (or you could just use what you feel is right if you whant to be awkward )
  11. even if you use a float stop the lead will never be able to eject with a running rig you need to use a clip on lead because if you have a float stop shot putty and so on the lead will still be on the line as the stop is kepping it on there that is why lead clips are the best you could have as many shot as you like the lead will still eject when under pressure really i only use a rinning rig when stalking the fish and realy that is what the rig is for to present a bait in the fishes mouth with minamle resistance while stalking the fish in the shallows .also when you put a shot under pressure it will slide of the line take it you havent been float fishing ay?
  12. This is a VERY bad idea as the shot will lock the lead onto the line, meaning the rig wouldn't be safe, so a fish could end up towing around a lead, which could end up in the death of a fish. oh yes i forgot he uses a running rig i tri to use a lead clip when i can and if i cant i use a helli rig when .i use a running rig i just cast then clip on a korda flying back lead on the line .dont like running rigs much to much movement along your line .pluse i dont like when the lead hits the buffer bead i think it can get hairy at times
  13. actuall that is a good idea as you can pick it away and it pins the line down and hides your rig even more
  14. you culd also try using a split shot with a rubber bead ast then if y whant to take it off and dont whant to take everything elso of you now you can and just slid the bead down to your lead
  15. im pretty shore i have seen you use that axcuse before(pike box was closer)
