  1. I think what you are describing is what is often known as a boilie cannon. as you quite rightly said its used for baiting up at long range using compressed gas. banned on most of the waters i have fished in france, in the wrong hands using rock hard air dried 22mm boilies i would imagine it could be quite a lethal piece of equipment, especially when the boys are getting a bit bored, had a few tinnies and using everything that moves on the lake as target practice !
  2. Depends what you are after. If drive and survive is your thing then try 3ILES.EU. 60 acres with a good head of mid 40 commons plus the chance of a 50. Fished it myself in the autumn, lovely ,quiet well run water. If you want all inclusive with transport and meals provided try Les Quis. [edited to remove link NG]
  3. If 60 acres is big enough for you try3ILES. Fished it myself twice, had commons up to 47lb but seen 50s on the bank to other anglers. 60 miles south of Paris, 24 swims in total but only 16 to be fished at any time. Very nice quiet fishing with the chance of a whacker or two. [edited to remove link]
  4. A couple of my mates fished there last september, their first trip to France as they have not been carp fishing that long. They hired one of the chalets which i believe are on the dam wall.Had a great time with 20 fish each to mid 30s. They just rowed big balls of method mix out the permitted 100 meters, scattered a few handfulls of pellet and boilies around the hookbait and that was it.
  5. Fished there myself a few years ago, the successful methods my friends and i used involved spodding large amounts of hemp , pellet and corn to around 90metres and fishing all 3 rods tight to the baited area. However, if your any good with the throwing stick, some good catshes have been had using large boilies alone. The latter method would also ensure you dont get bothered too much by the large head of grass carp which seem to feed right on dusk making accurate recasts a little more difficult
