  1. Thanks for the info, its a real shame that other anglers ruin it for the rest of us . I find myself taking other peoples rubbish home sometimes, if i dont you worrie the fishing will cease as Jemsue said how hard can it be just to put rubbish in a bag and take it with you WHY WHY is this so hard. I feel the reward when i pack up and leave and my peg, and it looks like i was never there.
  2. Which pegs are most productive on the lake, i know most people get there and plonk it next to the one of the islands
  3. I doubt fish have been taken too the lake is situated on a farm, so i would think it is very unlikey any fish have been taken. Elaine is not soft and is on the ball as Welder said. im sure she can also see whats going on from the farm. Merrington is hard lake to fish, with clever fish im sure they are more clever than the dimwits who try to take other people's fish. It may be hard but that is the beauty of Merrington lovely place, look out for the Barn Owl if you go
  4. what a great looking 20+ Common top picture
  5. Good Darts Nice one thanks to both of you tight lines, i have fished merrington a couple of times last year i blanked twice tho. i seen the resident barn owl couple of times to that is a rare sight these days.

  10. Cheers Pellethead thats a great help thanks. Iv heard lots of good and bad things about Valdore, for the money you pay to fish it's cheap as chips and people do seem to come away with a few decent fish. Im not on peg 16 my mate who booked the trip got mixed up, me and other mate are on peg 13. Have you got the distance between each peg roughly sorry to be a pain
  11. Thanks for info Dan Pellet head how tough is peg 16
  12. Cheers thats great help im thinking of buying a bait boat, would this help me or should i just keep it simple with pva bags. sadly me and 1 of my mates are on peg 16 is it that bad
  13. Hi im going to valdore june 1st with 9 mates, we are fishing lake 2 has any 1 got any info on lake 2.
  14. Good luck matty i was on peg 4 last month nothing tho, you here people slagging monument off a lot and prob most of them haven't even been, and that it's easy because there is so many fish in there. peg 3 home of the pet to the left isn't it hope you bag him.
  15. I have fished the monument 3 times and blanked in the last 18 months, it's a great place to fish tho was there 4 weeks ago. Zig rigs are pulling the fish out lately and when i was there, with the water temp moving up now going to keep zig on 1 rod now every were i go over next couple of months. worms good bait at the monument along with maggots but they are no banned till winter months. When i was there last month bloke across the lake had 6 fish on Zig rig butt with maggies, he had been 6 times and blanked so gives you hope when you here other carpers have struggled and then bang fish jumping on to his line. So i will say this fished it 3 times and blanked, and carn't wait to go back in sept great place and always the chance of a fish of a life time.
