  1. I think I should split my question into two. Whats the best type of rig to use in weedy water? I'm assuming by the respone a good quality safety bolt rig? Does any one know of a rig or system that loses the lead as the fish runs with your bait? Eliminating the lead bouncing around on your line picking up weed as you play in the fish, reducing the risk of losing the fish or harming it.
  2. Thats exactly why I posted the question. Any ideas on a rig to use? I dont mind losing some money every time I get a run, by losing the lead, just wondered if anyone knew a way of limiting the cost.
  3. I am going to be fishing a pool for the first time this year. It is very weedy. Can any one help with a suggestion for a rig? I was wondering if anyone knew of a system that loses the lead when a fish takes or when you apply pressure to stop it tangleing in the weed. Also that doesn't cost a fortune everytime you catch a fish. I have done a search but can not find anything that answers my question.
  4. The shower block and toilets have been open a few months now. Its £1 use the showers and you need to ask for the key if you want to use them. I haven't fished there myself for a few months but know people on it every week. In the last month it has started picking up a little with people having 3 in a 48 hour session. Its certainly not going mad, but some good size fish coming out. 27lb the biggest I know of. The bait they've been coming out on is fishmeal bollies, squid and octopus and the like! Hope this helps!!
