  2. Hi All booked up to go next year. I have read through some forums and found quite a lot of negativity about this place and the owner javascript:emoticon(':?') If I was to believe half the stuff about lakes and owners my tackle wouldn't leave the house.javascript:emoticon(':?:') I also appreciate that as Carp anglers we part with a lot of money to fish in France and appreciate we expect a return, been to France twice and blanked ( javascript:emoticon('') ) both times! but hey...never moaned once...or does this count! Please feel free to PM me or share you your stories with me on here. Many thanks
  3. Hi I have fished it a few times and have blanked many times. The last fish I had was a 13lb stunner and gave me a tremendous fight. I would say there is no real tactic at wills or bait, if you fish the shallows the ducks eat all your bait, if you fish the middle, the coots eat all your boilies, if you fish the wall end the carp sit on top sticking their fins up at you, and if you fish on the top for them you end up catching a duck or two. But please be aware Christine the manager is putting it up for sale in March 2012 for £800,000, was originally for sale for 1 million but due to the credit crunch..she's knocked 200K off the price...get raiding your piggy banks boys. She will not be doing the season ticket until it's clear whether the lake will be sold or not. But that said, people moan about Willesley but it's a place that keeps you coming back for me.
  4. Choddy Did you go down to Willesley last weekend? how you get on.
  5. I fishing it at the end of June! I was in the double swin with my brother! never again. I caught NOTHING, but I spent time laning his, 52lb, 36lb and 2 14lb, also 46 and 44lb sturgeon. I spent most of my time striking at nothing, because those sturgeon kept swimming roundmy line! Well we all had a good laugh, especially Mehdi. I reccomend it to anyone if they can get in! It's booked up for 90% of next year now and has been for months.
  6. Perhaps if people read the post in the first place, I wouldn't need to point out that it's an update I was asking for. I hae searched the threads thank you very much, funny enough there wasn't anything about my questions, so I thougt I would ask.
  7. Anyone got any updates on ow the lake is fishing. I've also been told that toilets and showers are now availible and that they have updated one or two of the piers? tight lines all.
  8. Hi, I debate a work has led me to think i maybe a little naive when it comes to hook lengths. I only use korda IQ the stiff and the soft stuff for my hook links, with either the wide gape or longshanks. A mate at work reckons I should get some mantis or braid; try to be different and not so one dimensional. My theory is, if the hook length is translucent, why would I need to use braid or any other hook lenghs? What is everyone else using or can anyone recommend?
  9. OK thanks again. You have been very helpful. Do you have any advise on line and rigs to use, i.e 20lb and 20lb hooklengh or use the same as in the UK, 15lb line and hook lengh. Sorry, only my second French trip, reading up, but nothing beats experience.
  10. Thanks for the reply. I am going at the end of june! Is it true you have to draw for pegs on arrival?
  11. Hi all, I am off to Lake Laroussi in France at the end of July 2007 and just wondered if anyone else had fished or heard of it! Any advise would be welcomed. Cheers
