Ignore the SEARCH warnings. Go with an open mind and enjoy yourselves. The only caveat I'd add is keep all bait off the ground and securely stored during the night.....there are nocturnal creatures on there. Just don't take things too seriously. A tip. If you have the choice of pegs on Masters go for the one beside the small island, on the right when looking downhill. i agree with welder but you need to look out for the rats and black sheep/rams/goats and you need to fish zigs cause nothing else seems to work(and i mean zigs 25-35feet in 36feet of water) and there are some big(68lb) cats, silver carp to 30 and commons and mirrors to 41lb. take a look @the web site www.shatterfordlakes.com

yeah thats the one i was talking to my sister's father in law last night and he said there koi carp and grass carp in there up to 15lb+ and a lot more than 1 8lb tench he also said he never fishes it with less than 10lb line

has anybody out there fished the old pup house pool a the shire oak nature reserve i fished it a couple of days ago a pulled out a 8lb tench does anybody now what else is in there

very nice looking fish but how did you do it we tried several tactics and failed so if you can please help

do you mean the four crosses pub, if so then there are carp in there to 35lb if you can get past the 3500 small carp he stocked in there 2 years ago but you can catch a few upper doubles in a day session on meat with chllie tuna bags

one problem with calf heath if you get the bream feeding you'll need a change of cloths and some head ache tablets cause they can destroy the carp fishing regardless the bait you try, they go for single maggots to 20mm boillies but there are some really big carp in there my mate took 3 upper 20's and a 32lb from the margins last year just before the floods

has anybody been to litchfield police pool in fradly lately if so hows it fishing went there about 12 years ago and had a 28.4lb mirror from there on 4 maggots and a worm but haven't been back since cause i didn't want to be left waiting for that big to show it's face

forgot to mention there is also a pool next to calderfields on the stud farm with a large variety of fish roach to 2lb grass carp to 9lb and common and mirrors getting close to 20lb doesn't look much when you get to it as the banks all slope just like a big bowl but it's good fishing if you target it right
