  1. i went last july which was proberbly not the best time to go as it was around 31 c everyday, a little too hot in my book. Food was good as was advice. You wont get anywhere near the lodge swims unless your royality !! Dave nash was on his way over in a few weeks so we had no chance, which was a little unfair as you pay your money and should have a fair choice. The place itself is breathtaking and unless you have been on a 50 acre lake it could be a little mindblowing as to where to start. All the tackle was new except the bivvy we had, , we asked to move which was no problem. I was a little suprised to find the lake itself is leased from a local farmer, so it really is a case of comercial fishing, there is no real incentive for the Nash crew to change things in anyway, as they see it if it works dont fix it. Be careful when you bait up has the cost can run away and be the end of your stay you could well have to remortgage your house just to pay for the bait.!! Overall would i do it again, the answer would proberbly be yes, but looking around like for like you could get a much better deal from a smaller venue which the lake is OWNED and not leased.
  2. Hi yes its the lakes you said and Pauls still running it, hes a really nice bloke with lots of good tips, guess theres no one else who knows the lakes better.

  5. Hi to all , can anyone help me with the name of any sydicate carp waters in great chesterford just outside saffron walden?? my local tackle shop carp cabin in sawston said about some there but didnt have any tel numbers, they said there was a sydicate water there but ive got no leads, thanks for your time, regards Paul.
  6. ive got a few days booked in july for the nash resort and i recieved a phone call a few weeks ago regarding the tackle, they have confirmed that all the gear was into its third season and becoming battered and worn as you would expect, but within the next month or so its all being replaced by brand new from the bivvies to the rods so anyone going or thinking of going should have no worries as far as the tackle goes, hope this clears up any doubts.
  7. The motorway systems are great once you are on the right one, the dreaded a16 ring road around Paris is a nightmare, advice would be plan carefully and take your time once your moving. Plan for any toll routes, generally people seem more sensible than alot of the idiots you get on our motorways,at the end of the day it will be well worth it all when ur holding that 50lb fish !! regards Paul.
