I would be interested in having a go on there but dont you think its a bit of a wrip off? You pay to fish £30 which is fare enough, but then you have to buy their bait on top! I think they would get more people if they dropped the silly bait rules. Im local and know several people that wont go purely because of this. Are they strict and check your bait?

I think you have to be related to get in the club, if you no what I mean! They have upset alot of people that I know about the lack of willingness to take people on. Especially when they have fished the lakes prior to them taking them on. Soar point really we are only jealous of what we cant have -

Seems to be a really hard club to get a ticket for. Went past one of their waters at the weekend and it drives you mad to see it desserted of anglers and knowing you cant fish it!! -
There will be a few on there, these are the idiots that aare left. Dont think that you will get the place to yourself! These sad minority have put the genuine local anglers off. Im from stoke myself and i have a few syndicates i fish that have a much better standard and size of fish but they are a bit further a field then pershall. What type and size of fish are you looking for?

Dont believe a thing they tell you they are short of members and want your money! Try Lymme anglers they have some decent cat and carp waters d gthe club is run properly. Stapley sell the tickets for Lymme. Do a search on google and they have got a club website which may be worth a look

its only 24hrs fishing in 36hrs. its really not a big fish water only upto 20 pound. some real idiots on their and its not worth your time and effort on there. Certain members trying to weigh fish by hooking the scales in the gills of the fish! Chris swift will tell you the fish go upto 30 pound but this is just to get your money of you.

PM sent Save your money, the club is run by idiots and the fish are not what they tell you before you join!!!

Have a look on the website tagcarptours.com or co.uk! Tony the guy who runs it will pick you up in his mini bus and trailor and drive you there and back. he will also include food, showers and all the help you will need to catch. you see your only 16 so this would be ideal for yourself. i have caught fish upto 48.11 from there. lovely lake and some cracking fish. i highly recommend this place.

I called the Monument the other day to see if the price i had heard was right. It was £60 for 24 hours fishing! Im not tight with my money but i would think twice about spending it there. 2 weekends fishing is the same as a week in france!
-
Have a read of carp-talk they have a weekly catch report of most big day ticket waters. If you read the mag not many are taken out in a weeks fishing on the monument, but to be fare what is caught is usually a decent fish. Also im pretty sure you dont pick a peg you have to draw a peg out of a hat. Not eveyones cup of tea but its a fare way, saves arguing with other anglers!

You may struggle to get on, you will have to book on not just turn up. Also make sure you remortgage your house before you turn up its not cheap

Rosehill has dropped there price to £300 now. They are struggling to get anglers on there. To me this is worrying most places have waiting lists. Nice looking water fished it years ago when it was day ticket. Not heard any good reports about the fishing on there.

Has anyone been home farm recently? just wondered what its fishing like. are the prices still the same? £15 for a night and £8 for the day?
-
hi. if you cant drive there is a guy called Tony that runs a lake in france. he picks people up and drives you to his lake and back. if you have a look at tagcarptours.co.uk the pricing can be explained. i went last year and had a really good time! if you go on septembers picture gallery you can see a few carp i caught! i managed 9 in a week smallest 27 and upto 48.11. tony is fantastic guy and easy to get on with, thats if you can understand the lingo from up newcastle!! if you can get 8 people together you can book the lake to yourselves, i would recommend this and he should do you a better price to! thats a shame the waters around where i live have such a good reputation and i have seen some photos of fish out of there. the worst of it i they hardly get fished due to the distance the wolvs lads have to travel. oh well! any idea of more decent carp waters around market drayton way on? drayton is on the staffordshire / cheshire / shropshire border. would prefer syndicates or clubs not day tickets! -

its a wolverhampton club water they appear to be very strict on who they take on and the people they take on seem to be locals to themselves. the annoying thing is they have control of 2 lakes that are around 40 miles away from wolves and 2 miles away from myself and they wont let us local people to the lakes fish them bearing in mind there are other waters they control at wolves that are miles away from ourselves. i know several local anglers to myself that have approached the club to be quite bluntly turned down. there is nothing worse than local carp waters that you drive past every day but you cant get membership for! does anyone have contacts to get round this issue? im not sure about the waiting list but i wouldnt mind the wait if i new it would get somewhere! -
I have heard this club is hard to join and they have some excellent carp waters. Can anyone give me any pointers on how to get into the club and who to see. I have been told that i live to close to some of the waters so this makes it unfare on other anglers making it virtually impossible for myself to join . please can anyone help!
