  1. Guessing no one used the search http://www.carp.com/carp-forum/viewtopic.php?t=29078&highlight=lac++paix
  2. Not my sort of place, want somewhere nice and quite, you'll lovely Laroussi. Say Hi to Medhi for me
  3. Five of us had over 1500lb topped with a new lake record mirror 49lb 2oz. There are much bigger fish in Laroussi!!! Probably not going to go back to Old Oaks has we have done 2 years there now, so time to move on, which is why we looked at Laroussi, but its not for us. PS, don't forget to wear your seat belt, got caught coming off the last toll booth and slapped with an 80 euro fine.
  4. Medhi the owner is spot on, you maybe better off on the AL website, that way you can chat with Medhi direct about the lake, etc. He normally responds within a day and will give you all the info you want. I walked round the place in April when I was fishing Old Oaks (across the road), really nice place, only thing for my group is that the swims are a far distance apart so not great if you are going for a bit of a social. But well looked after. Just for FYI, non of the shops open on a Sunday there. There are local shops in the next village Spay. Turn right out of the lake, follow the road into the village (5mins) until you get to a roundabout with a bar on it, which will be in front of you to the right, turn left here and then first right, which will take you into a small car park and you will find a small supermarket and a bakers. You'll get basics here, Medhi can give you direction to a bigger supermarket on the edge of Le Mans itself Hope that helps
  5. You will probably be better off using a chod over weed and silt
  6. Hi There Fished Old Oaks (Angling Lines, nr Le Mans?) Last Year PM me and I let you know how it went
  7. Get onto the Angling Lines website/forum, they have a really good feedback section from the anglers and they don't amend anything that you send in, so what you read will be what the anglers said about the place. I've fished Old Oaks which Medhi also owns and is across the road from Laroussi which is basically in his garden, went for a brief walk about last year with the hope of fishing it this year, but it was booked for the weeks we wanted. If you get on their forum Medhi will answer any question etc, he is a really spot one bloke and very knowledgeable not only on his lakes but fishing in general, spent a good hour or so chatting with him last year whilst he landed a couple of my fish. I would expect that bait will be one of the Quest range with Medhi's pellets and parti.
  8. Don't think so, checked for going to France 23rd April and it was £180 for the car, which was about the same as last year. After speaking to Angling lines they did say that Sea France where charging a premium because its Easter weekend, but P & O didn't
  9. Did that before and picked up a virus which took the tech guys at work 3 hours to remove. Ain't going anywhere near that banner again
  10. Looks great but is 6 hours from Calais, unfortunately too far. Any other suggestion gratefully received
  11. Right Lads I'm looking for a venue in France for next year. Our requirements are For up to 6 Up to 10 acres No more that 4.5 hours from Calais Facilities for cooking OWN food For any lakes owners we are restricted to W/C 24th April Thanks for any help
  12. Surely guys and no disrespect to sam but if you need to ask this sort of question then different knots could cause all sorts of issues, surely it would be easier to use a figure of 8 with a quick link so he can change his rig easily if needed
  13. Or a grinner Or you could try a figure of 8 knot on the end of your rig and use a quick link with a piece of silicone
  14. Haven't fished it for a year years They have a web site that is fairly updated Have a search around on here, I've posted stuff in the past PM me if you want any details
  15. Use a running rig and boat all the time and can confidentally say I can't recall ever getting a tangled rig, could be the coated braid that helps, as said if you are worried then use a bag or pva nugget to although I'm not sure how these will stop the tangles. Best just experiementing at your lake and see what happens
