  1. You will probably be better off using a chod over weed and silt
  2. Surely guys and no disrespect to sam but if you need to ask this sort of question then different knots could cause all sorts of issues, surely it would be easier to use a figure of 8 with a quick link so he can change his rig easily if needed
  3. Or a grinner Or you could try a figure of 8 knot on the end of your rig and use a quick link with a piece of silicone
  4. Use a running rig and boat all the time and can confidentally say I can't recall ever getting a tangled rig, could be the coated braid that helps, as said if you are worried then use a bag or pva nugget to although I'm not sure how these will stop the tangles. Best just experiementing at your lake and see what happens
  5. Google it, Erics in Leeds
  6. Chris Have a look at Erics, they are doing a half price sale on terminal stuff, it will cost you £5, p and p, order on Wed pm and it turned up on Friday, so good service as well With the KD I use either a wide gape or kurv IQ soft is good if you are fishing clear water, but is difficult to tie until you get used to it, don't be fooled by the name it is quite a stiff material good for stiff links or chod rigs People say that you should use a lesser bs hooklink than your mainline, but it is difficult to find 12lb bs material, in the main it will be 15lb or above, as long as you don't go higher than you mainline you should be okay

    KD Rig

Using the principle of the knotless knot, so hair section thru the eye, a couple of normal turns over the hair and then a few under the hair, this will give the hair the appearance of coming off of the hook shank at a 45 degree angle. Have a search around on the korda website and I'm sure that you'll find it on there. http://www.korda.co.uk/movies/?id=77 http://www.korda.co.uk/movies/?id=9
  8. It depends what colour or situation you are using it in, I would say take the coating off of the mantis or try Nash soft silk
  9. Had the same problem snapping at the hook and not with big fish either. Stopped using it for that reason. On mantis now, although it coated it's the dog dangles
  10. No
  11. You could alway use a small rig ring.
  12. This sounds like what you're looking for http://www.kryston.com/solutions/bondage.htm
  13. Hi there, if you're that paraniod about having broken or free offerings that close to your hook bait, why not try putting a couple of small stones in pva and then attach that to your rig, that way it will keep your hooklink straight and shouldn't affect the area around your hook bait
  14. Which mag was it in?
  15. I've been using Super natrual, use a figure of 8 knot to attach your rig to the quick link. The problem that I've been having with it has been breaking at hook end, particularly if I'd used shrink tube. Have got round it now by the Kurv hooks.
