I have looked through the search and cannot find what iam looking for. I have just moved to wigston and iam looking to fish somewhere local as i dont drive and i know of navies pit i know that it has had alot of trouble there in the past. So what iam asking is has anything changed regarding the trouble and mess and would it be worth giving it a bash Cheers Tight Lines Willow

So does it really matter if i dont pre bait it as for one i dont have enough cash to do that at the mo What do you suggest i do in this sittuation have a walk down find a likley looking spot and try it or use stalking methods and try different spots through out the day it might sound really stupid me asking these questions but i havent got the foggiest as this will be the first time i have ever atempted fishing a canal Tight Lines Willow

Hey up guys and dolls long time and all that jazz. I was just wondering if anybody had any info about the canal in wigston which runs from the county arms and through the back end of wigston near countesthorpe. Does it contain any carp and if so what weight do they goto?? i have had a walk up and down but in all fairness i dont even know where to start and any info would be great Cheers Tight Lines Willow

i was gonna say all of that what nick said but i didnt want to mess your head up beings though you are new to the site but you seemed to have taken it all on board

The thing with the hair rig is that when the carp blows the bait out the bait moves leaving more of the hook to penitrate the carps mouth

The small ring attatched to the hook is to tie your boilie or what ever bait you are using to using dental floss or something similar have you got a pic of the rig then probley we will be able to help you further

Put the hooklength into a cup or depending on the size of your rod just cast it out i have never had any problems with doing it that way but saying that the longest hooklength i have fished is 7ft still should be ok though hope this helps Tight Lines Willow

Cheers for that courtney you will ave to let me know when you are going down there and i will come and join you for a day. Which pegs would you say are the most productive on there when i used to fish it it was the gardens and the peg to the right of it just before you walk up the steep bank.
