hi there, not fished valdore but my boss has fished vallee lake and i wouldnt recommend it,he went in june last year and there was only on person on the lake that caught and that was from the swim that comes with the main lodge. another thing to note is that 90% of the fish pics on there website are at night, i dont mind catching during the night but want some action during the day aswell just my views,trying to help u out. why has it got to be an hour from calais??

yeah i have checked the website and read the write up by dave lane, that and the absolutly stunning fish was the reason we booked up do you know what shape the lake is?? are the swims all on one bank (so you fish the far margins) or are they spread around the lake??

ill be there a month after you mate,would be great to find out how you get on. do you know much about the lake??

i have noticed that there are 2 Etang du Bois over in france, one is run by boysaway carping, and the other is the one we're going too which isnt advertised anywhere i dont think. i have been on there website,and the lake and fish look fantastic,just was looking for catch reports etc... thanks for your reply

my boss fished it last june for a long weekend, and wasnt impressed with it!!! only one guy on the lake had runs and they were at night,nothing happened during the daylight hours,quite a bit of weed too like i have seen in other threads he ended up bringing bait home the website just catches the eye of the angler im afraid just my opinion
