  1. hello i went there in september and had a brilliant time les the head baliff is a diamond and so are the rest of the baliffs although the weather was not so good and unbeknowing to me the wk before the lake i chose had been smashed stupid so my advice would be check out the catch book for the wk before to see what was caught and then make ur decision on which lake to fish but other than that there is no difference between fishing in france or at home so good luck and tight lines
  2. hi guys im due to go to france in late september and i was wondering does a bait boat help or hinder or does good old spodding work better i have always spodded where ever i go but the lake im due to go to says that a bait boat is an advantage I have never used abait boat as i always saw it as a form of cheating and the fact that with the boats help you can place ur hookbait right on top of ur free offering but with this do you still get the same assurance that ur rigs are not taggled or if there are straight i just dont know so if anybody has any thought or can help then please do [/b]
  3. hello mate have you not tried angling lines holidays as ther can accomadate everyone from the angler to there familys as well and one or two of the lakes that i have seen in the past have swimming pools for the kids and some even have things for the wife to do as well hope this helps you abit happy hunting carpnovice
  4. i know there was a page on here for crete lakes but for some reason its been deleted i am due to go to crete lakes on the 25th sept and i was looking for some advise or maybe some up dates about the place so if you have been or are going can you let us know many thanks carpnovice
  5. hi chris and welcome first of you can buy most things in france but i would advise taking some supplies with u such as sugar as you cant find proper sugar there unless you speck or can read french also bacon is very hard to get hold of there in regard to the fishing its mostly the same as in the uk just on a much larger scale the fish fight harder and longer and you will need a bit more bait than at home but i would again advise not taking to much as you will be bring most of it home My first trip to france i think i took about 60kg of bait with me and brought most of it home again so i would only take a small amount now and buy more when im out there if its needed try and find out some information on the lake like what bait is working and speck to some people about the lake in other words do your homework first as this can be invaluable information any way good luck and tight lines
