I go every year and fish can be all around but found the biggest fish do often come of the island but when the fish are in the shallows at far end then there is chance of few good ones too

lodge is lovely but I stayed in bivvy as fish in shallows tended to feed at night and dam end during the day similar to many French lakes from my experience.

I fished on the far bank and cast to left into shallow bay and caught quite a few fish. Friend fished further along same bank casting at dam and had a few fish which were generally larger than those from the shallows, all caught on single bottom baits over handfuls of boilies and pellets.
