  1. Just got back from genesis and what a trip.We went for two weeks as its something i have always wanted to do in my 30 years of fishing.Done loads of 7 and 10 days before but never 14.It all started well the first day or so and then the heavens opend up and the water levels came rushing up and we needed to move the bivies up to higher ground. We was fishing in swim 5 mostly to the far bank where i promptly walked around and placed my reflective breakdown vest as a night time reflector. The bottom of the lake is clean and snag free with the only snags found are tree roots in places around the margins.I was using a fishmeal boily with a fishy smell and had no prob with nuisence fish .The first week i had six 30s the biggest was a 38lb 8oz and 14 over 20lb to 28lb and six under 20lb up to 28lb.The second week slowed down a bit down to the weather i think as the water was up and down from the amount of rain we got the wind was blowing up the lake one day and down the next and the temp was t shirt one day and thermals the next ( globle warming ????? ) never the less we ended up with 62 carp in all ...7..30S......33 over 20lb and 22 up to 29lb. think if the weather was on our side we could have done better. Now to eddy and val....What can i say apart from dont change a thing . They are such good hoasts and nothing is to much trouble .As said on there blog by myself i think they have set the standerds for all carp fisherys. So a big thankyou to them and i would recomend genesis to anyone looking for a lake that you dont want to sit for days behind motionless rods and to be looked after by two great people :D:D:D:D

  2. Hi halfman halfcap I take it you are new to carp fishing and you you are in the right place to progress in this sport. If you want to go with something like corn your best bet is to try maize as it stays on your hook better and is cheep to buy and you can have some fun soaking it in some flavours.Welcome to the forum

  3. Not fished it this year but last year i did about six times i like the main lake the best it is up the top and near the car park.take plenty of pellet with and fish over the top with something like trigger. The baliff will come around and will point you in the right direction.Good luck and have fun

  4. This year i have decided to do a week out on a good day tick water. Most years i go away for a week fishing holiday in france or in a log cabin over here.I was just wondering if any of you know of any waters that you would pay youre well earnt cash on for a week on the bank :?:

  5. Im from addington.I was a member of farnham last year but the cost of pet in my car cost alot over the year as all the waters thay have are guilford way. This year i am a member of isfield @ district thay dont have a web site but the tel number is 01342 315073 if you give them a ring thay will give you some info.Hope this is of some help

  6. Fished this lake loads and bridges both can be good but i find bridges the better of the two. Most baits go but if you bag up with pellet you tend to get alot of bream and small tench. But if you dont mind wading through them you can get some nice carp out most around 5-10lb and a few arond 18lb.Ihave had a couple of 20s out one was a full scaled mirror nice fish.Best of luck mark

  7. You have to stay in one of the log cabins as there is no caravans on site now.You can fish the championship lake as long as you like but they dont let you bivvy up on it.If you go out of season and have a word with the warden his name is marvin then he might let you.Well he did me mind you i have been there alot. The lake has got some of the best carp in it that i have seen for years as it hardly gets fished.Hope this helps.......mark
