  1. small kd rig works well with maize or corn .More so when balanced
  2. Hi halfman halfcap I take it you are new to carp fishing and you you are in the right place to progress in this sport. If you want to go with something like corn your best bet is to try maize as it stays on your hook better and is cheep to buy and you can have some fun soaking it in some flavours.Welcome to the forum
  3. Just keep it simple a standerd knotless knot and a inline lead
  4. If your rigs are good and you have nothing to hide it dont matter how many times you have to bring your rods in to be checked id rather loose a fish from bring in my rods than loose one out of the lake .Lets stamp this out and suport our balifs and dont get the hump with them
  5. Have a good look around the forum you will find alot on setups ext you are in the right place to learn allot about this sport ....good luck
  6. I dont know if you can still get it but i did have some stuff you coat your braid in to make it stiff and when it gets wet it will go back to normal i think it was something like stiff link.Ask your tackle shop about it.
  7. Ask your shop if he can order them in for you
  8. If you dont understand how a sertern rig works then you are best not use it as some rigs can be harmfull to the fish.I dont use that rig but you are in the right place to find out from the other members.
  9. I have carp fished for 30 years now and tried my fair share of rigs but i allways go back to the good old knotless knot.I have hod fish on it from 1lb to 40lb.I think that your bait and your location is more inportent
