I no longer use flurocarbon as the breaking strain is rarely what its suppose to be. I know a fishing shop in Milton Keynes that refused to stock it until the problem was sorted and was reccomending drennan double strength. I fly fish (don't slate me) as well and i've had breaks on the fluoro there as well. Any fisherman has to be confident and if you are happy with it crack on.. i wouldn't risk losing a PB .. I really think its that bad!

Its what it says it is. Imagine using 10 lb mainline and casting 5oz method ball 70 yards. For any long range casting you should consider using a shock leader of 30lb plus, I use fox tapered leader so its about 50lb down to about 20 lb and about 20 feet long. I once cast a 3.5 ounce lead with no leader and gave it some real stick, it broke off and this missile must have travelled 150 yards straight over the lake!! Hope this helps

I only hate Zig Rigs cause they've never caught me a fish, Courtz was however just trying to be helpfull so give the lad a break!
